Core Message

The Gospel

  1. God is holy and good and He created the world perfectly. He created mankind to be in communion with Him.
  2. Mankind rejected God and became separated from Him because of sin and rebellion against Him. Man became enemies of God because of their wicked works.
  3. Everyone has sinned and cannot be reconciled to God with his own merits. Even all the righteousness man tries to do is as filthy rags before a holy God. So man is destined to hell because of sin and there is nothing man can do to save himself from God’s wrath against those who choose to follow sin.
  4. But God, being rich in mercy, saw the state man was in and had compassion on us. Even though we were enemies of God, He sent His only begotten son Jesus Christ into the world to save us from sin.
  5. Jesus was God in flesh and came down to earth born to a virgin. He was perfect and the only person to never sin. He came to save us from sin and show us the way of salvation. He taught repentance, He was baptized, and He was filled with the Holy Spirit. He healed the sick and cast out demons and He taught the people about the Kingdom of God.
  6. Jesus had never sinned, but the world hated Him. They persecuted, tortured, and nailed Him to a cross. Jesus allowed them to do this because He freely gave His life in order to save mankind because of His great love. He took mankind’s sin upon His shoulders and took the penalty of sin upon Himself.
  7. Because Jesus had never sinned, death could not hold Him. Jesus defeated death and was raised to life again three days later.
  8. Now we have the way of salvation. We must believe in Jesus Christ and what He did for us and we must truly surrender our lives to Him. This happens when we repent (choose in our hearts to turn away from sin and turn towards God), get baptized and become filled with the Holy Spirit. Then God’s power frees us from sin and empowers us to live a holy life as we daily abide in Jesus. We need to continue in this hope and endure to the end to be saved.
  9. Now we are His disciples, and we go out and make disciples. We preach the Gospel, heal the sick and cast out demons just like He did. And we teach them to obey all that Jesus commanded.
  10. One day Jesus is coming back to earth and will judge the world in righteousness. The Kingdom of God is coming, and we must be ready.

Live a live after God

Still Sinning?

Maybe you have been told that it is normal for a Christian to still live in sin. Nevertheless, this is not what we read in the Bible.

  • In John 8:31-36 Jesus makes it clear that who the son sets free is free indeed, speaking about sin.
  • 1 John 3:10b says: “Whoever does not practice righteousness is not of God…”
  • Hebrews 10:26-27a: “For if we sin willfully after we have received the knowledge of the truth, there no longer remains a sacrifice for sins, but a certain fearful expectation of judgment,…”
  • Matthew 7:19: “Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire.”
  • Romans 6:22: “But now having been set free from sin, and having become slaves of God, you have your fruit to holiness, and the end, everlasting life.”
  • Hebrew 12:14-15a: Pursue peace with all people, and holiness, without which no one will see the Lord: looking carefully lest anyone fall short of the grace of God;…

The Bible is very clear that we cannot continue living in sin. We cannot serve two masters. We have to forsake one and serve the other.

Isn't salvation by Grace?

Yes! We cannot be saved by our own deeds. It is only by God’s grace that we are saved, and we accept it in faith. But after we are truly born again, we cannot continue in sin. 1 John 3:9: “Whoever has been born of God does not sin, for His seed remains in him; and he cannot sin, because he has been born of God.”

So, we see that if somebody is still living in sin he is not truly born again. When we become born again, we are a new creation (2 Corinthinas 5:17).

How do I become born again?

Jesus spoke to Nicodemus in John 3:5: Jesus answered, “Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God.”

What does it mean to get born out of water and spirit? We see the answer in Acts 2:38 after the crowd asked under conviction of sin by the preaching of Peter, “…what shall we do?” He told them: “Repent and let every one of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins; and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.”

What must I do?

You have to do exactly what the Bible commands us to do. You have to truly believe in Jesus which means to repent, put your faith in Jesus, get baptized and you will receive the Holy Spirit. And you must continue to follow Jesus.

Repentance: You have to completely humble yourselves and surrender all your will, thoughts, and desires to Jesus and decide to make Jesus Lord over your life. Ask God for His forgiveness and mercy and make a choice in your heart to turn 100 percent from all the sin that you hold onto. Put your faith in Jesus that He will set you free.

Baptism: Baptism means to get fully dunked under water after you have truly repented. According to the Bible, the old sinful man is buried in the water, and we rise to a new life (Romans 6).

Holy Spirit: Like we see in several passages, people in the Book of Acts were filled with the Holy spirit accompanied with an outward sign.

When you are fully born again you are fully equipped to live a holy life after God, free from sin and its power. You have everything that is needed to follow in Jesus’ footsteps, heal the sick, cast out demons and help others to become followers of Jesus and do everything Jesus commanded us to do. Furthermore, we must continue and endure to the end, never going back to sinful ways. Pray and read the Bible daily to grow in the Lord.

Make Disciples of all Nations

After we are born again, we are fully equipped to be disciples which means we follow in Jesus footsteps. What does that mean:

  1. We seek His will daily in prayer and reading the word of God.
  2. We strive to be as Jesus is and become continually more like Him in all the parts of our life. That means to love like Jesus loved, to be holy like Jesus, and to follow all of Jesus’ commands.
  3. We are called make disciples of all nations. How do we do that:

    • Preach the Gospel
    • Heal the sick
    • Cast out demons
    • Baptize
    • Teach other disciples to obey everything Jesus told us to do (Matt 28, Luke 10, Mark 16, …)
